Through this project academic programs and courses will be reviewed, redesigned and integrated with modern MSc material. e-VIVA (Enhancing and Validating Service-Related Competencies in Versatile Learning Environments in Western Balkan Universities)

This project aims at creating a blended learning approach to facilitate and validate competence development related to service orientation in rather informal learning contexts in higher education institutions and workplace learning contexts. Its contribution relies in the demonstration of those competencies that are of fundamental importance in the labor market and that are acquired to a large extent in non-formalized learning contexts. With its approach of combining higher education and professional practice, e-VIVA will contribute to an improved transparency of the acquired competencies in a transnational comparative scale. Moreover, it will provide learning and validation opportunities in highly contextualized and individualized learning settings. All this will also create new learning pathways and eventually lead to a better matching of learning contents and individual learning styles (preferences).

E- UNITE- (European Youth Network for Diversity and Tolerance)

 The E-UNITE project brings various partners (2 universities, 2 NGOs, Institute and a youth center) together in a concerted effort to develop the foundations of the E-UNITE network – an international youth network, which aims to promote community-led initiatives in the fields of tolerance, inclusivity and diversity.The main output of the E-UNITE project – the Online Hub is a unique online ground, where youth workers and youth from many different European countries will have the opportunity to converge, share ideas and help each other achieve community and network goals, which they can set for themselves. The E-UNITE Hub will allow for the convergence of young minds and exchange of ideas, as well as support for community-led initiatives. Likewise, the Hub will be a base for exchange of know-how and good practices of youth workers, which are interested in working on those community-led initiatives or alternatively – youth workers, who wish to develop youth network of their own. The aim of E-UNITE is to help increase the positive impact, promote tolerance, diversity and bring communities together. The project is implemented under the framework of the European Commissions’ Programme Erasmus+, within Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, Action:

REBUS

Ready for Business – integrating and validating practical entrepreneurship skills in engineering and   ICT studies three-year project focuses on the development, testing, validation and creation of basic training modules for expansion of entrepreneurial competencies of graduates at the   intersection of academic education and practice. With a duration from 2017-2019, this project involves active mobility of projects’ participants between partner universities, purchase of equipment and seminars on research topics.

Developing Research and Innovation Capacities in Albania and Kosovo – DRIVE

The general objective of this project is to contribute in the development of the research and innovation capacities of HEIs in Albania and Kosovo by enhancing their institutional capabilities, staff skills and networking.

Specifically, the project intends to:

• Enhance the teachers’ capacities and their methodologies so that they effectively equip the students (graduate level and beyond) with the skills to conduct independent research.
• Enhance the mentors’ capacities to effectively guide the students in their research activity.
• Enhance the research capacities of the academic and managerial staff through study visits and tailored trainings.
• Strengthen the managerial capacities for research activities and innovation in institutional level by setting or strengthening dedicated research and innovation support structures (RISS).
• Promote research excellence and innovation by developing a network that eases the interdisciplinary and cooperation among local and international actors.

These objectives have been designed to directly address the needs identified in the proposal, namely:

• The need to foster the links and cooperation among the actors in the innovation ecosystem.

INTERBA – INTERnationalization at Home: Embedding Approaches and Structures to Foster Internationalization at Western Balkans

The main aim of the project is to strengthen the international, intercultural and global dimension via Internationalisation at Home implementation at partner Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in order to enhance the quality of education and make a meaningful contribution to society.

Specific Objectives:

• To formulate a coherent and detailed Internationalisation at Home concept that could be mainstreamed into the partner HEIs Roadmaps following on from their specific exigencies;
• To level up the scope and viability of Internationalisation at Home activities implemented in partner HEIs;
• To train an expert pool capable of developing and integrating Internationalisation at Home into HEI environment;
• To launch an online platform as a tool for Internationalisation at Home implementation;
• To establish/modernize the existing structure/entities responsible for Internationalisation at Home at HEIs.

Considering the problems explained in the Relevance section, the wider project objective is to create a systematic and structural approach for implementation of knowledge triangle principles, including sharing of knowledge, information and skills for joint exploitation of research capacities for sustainable growth based on innovation in WBC. We want to create institutional integration of education, research and innovation.

To fully implement the wider objective, the following specify project objectives are defined:

MSc course in STEAM education – STEAMedu
